Some of the then musicians of England's Glory Ladies Morris ( were asked to play for a couple of ceilidhs in 1992 and 1993, enjoyed the experience, and more importantly, were enjoyed by their audiences, so formed the band and began playing out regularly together from 1994.

Nowadays we are one of the busiest bands on the local circuit, playing for barn dances and ceilidhs all over Gloucestershire, and the surrounding counties. We recently played for  our 260th dance together!

We work with a number of very experienced callers, who explain the dances, and have proved excellent at getting people up and dancing! They include Gerald Tween, a longstanding member of Lassington Oak Morris Men, and Karen Burridge, and Fiona Jarvis, former dancers with England's Glory Ladies.

Most of the tunes we play are traditional English country dance tunes, including quite a few from the 'Thomas Hardy' song book, with a few Irish and Scottish tunes added.

We have Public Liability Insurance to the value of £5M, and our PA system is regularly PAT tested.
